Some 250 craftspeople from 38 traditional handicraft
villages will take part in the 2015 Traditional Handicraft Festival Hue
to take place from April 29 to May 3.
A collection of brocade products made by ethnic
minorities in the far northern mountainous province of Cao Bang will be
sold at the Traditional Handicraft Bazaar this weekend in HCM City.
A traditional handicraft bazaar will be organised in HCM City on Sunday,
showcasing the finest art and culture of the far-northern ethnic

Central Highlands regions, as well as Champa sculpture, should be
preserved and publicised, according to Tran Khanh Chuong, chairman of
the Viet Nam Fine Art Association.

A programme aimed at boosting the numbers of
tourists visiting the Chu Dau ceramic handicraft village in northern
province of Hai Duong will commence on April 27.
A special sports, culture and tourism festival
featuring members of the Cham ethnic group will be held in the central
province of Ninh Thuan between October 14 and 16.
Tourists and the general public will be admitted
free to many cultural activities in the Old Quarter to promote a
festival entitled Traditional Handicraft with Contemporary Arts.
Having disappeared from the market for 40 years, the
pottery products of the historic handicraft village of Phuoc Tich in
Hue City has been revitalised by local artists.
